To break the resting ground is to break your hearts, and prepare your minds to offer fruits to God. The mind of man is often compared to the earth in the Bible, sow for yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; Cut your land because it is time to seek the Lord until he comes and rains on you. The word of God is the seed that is sown there, the fruit that represents the actions and feelings of those who receive it.
Therefore, to dismantle the resting earth means to bring the mind to a state that is prepared to receive the word of God. Sometimes your hearts get so hard, hard and dry, that there’s no such thing as getting fruit from them until they fall apart, ripen, and adjust to the word.
